Total Area

The total area of the building is 64,500 square feet of office space.  The two-story section has 10,500 square feet per floor.  The three-story section has 14,500 square feet per floor.

Floor System

All floors are made of reinforced concrete.  The floors of the two-story will accommodate 150 pounds live load.  The floors of the three-story will accommodate 200 pounds live load.

Structural System

The building structure is comprised of steel columns and beams, with open web steel joist supporting floors, concrete in steel panels at floors, and reinforced masonry at elevator shafts and various other locations.  The exterior is primarily brick, glass and synthetic plaster.

Ceilings

There are acoustic tile ceilings in a suspended grid system in both the two-story and three-story sections.  The ceiling height averages 8’-10” high, with 10’ ceilings in the mechanical room.

Lighting for the Two-Story Office

The two-story has a recessed fluorescent lighting system and maintains an illumination level of 70 foot candles.  This is achieved from 2’ x 4’ four lamp lens fixtures with an energy consumption of approximately 1.35 watts per square foot.

Lighting for the Three-Story Office

The three-story has a recessed fluorescent lighting system with parabolic lenses and maintains an illumination level of 100 foot candles. This is achieved from 2’ x 4’ three lamp lens fixtures with an energy consumption of approximately 1.4 watts per square foot.
